I ordered two items yesterday, Thursday Dec 1, and both were Prime 2-day shipping. The earliest the first could be delivered via free Prime 2-day delivery is Monday Dec 5. The earliest the second could be delivered via free Prime 2-day delivery is Sunday Dec 4. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Okay I don't need either item in 2-days, and clearly the weekend is in the middle of this. However, it seems odd that the item I ordered early on Thursday morning won't be delivered until Monday, but the item I ordered after 5:00pm Thursday evening will get delivered on Sunday. Both items are shipping from my metro area warehouse/distribution center that is within 30 miles of my house. I had an item I ordered last week on Wednesday with Prime 2-day that didn't get delivered until Tuesday of this week. Amazon is all too happy to charge extra for next day or Saturday delivery, but they seem to be getting lax on keeping their 2-day deliveries within two days.
