They say "people aren't ready" and there "TV will go dark". Oh noes... gods forbid someone can't watch Oprah. The way the congress critters talk you would think that turning on the telly and not getting anything to watch is akin to a natural disaster? Gee... people can be flooded out of there homes and ignored for days... but don't let them miss any TV.
Many broadcaster don't want to pay for the expense of running both Analog and Digital transmitters. In this time of bad economy do you really want to add an additional burden on all those affiliates?
Are we going to have to pay to do all new advertising to tell people that they dates has changed?
Now, this is even going to cause MORE confusion. Many stations are going to cut off the Analog stations anyway.
WAKE UP PEOPLE! If after 4 years of telling people this was coming people aren't ready do you that 4 more months is going to make a different.
Perhaps people will pick up a DAMN BOOK!!! or Newspaper and use their brain for a change.
This is not the "hope", "change" and "way forward" that I voted for. This is more of the same pandering to the Media companies that think they will lose ad revenue because Neilson told them 6% of TV's aren't ready. How do they even know?
