Hey gang... wow I've been kinda absent around here lately.
Anyway I had to stop by to cast my vote and I'm with everyone else here - the results are very interesting! I have some additional thoughts on why the Kindle is so low on the list. Others have already mentioned how there are a lot of non-US members here which pretty much knocks off the Kindle, but I think there's another thing going on here. Ask just about anyone on the street here in the US about ebook devices and if they even know what you're talking about odds are *VERY* good they have only ever heard of the Kindle. Nothing else gets any real marketing. So, you get a comparatively large number of Kindle users, but a lot of them don't even know MobileRead exists because they didn't do any research - they just bought what they had heard of because it's marketed almost as if it's the only ebook device in the world.
Wow that was a rambling paragraph, sorry hehe. Anyway, I hope you get what I'm trying to say. Yes there are Kindle users that research the heck out of things and you're right here reading this, but my guess is that the majority of Kindle owners in the world just get it and read their ebooks and are happy with what they have.
As for me? I freaking LOVE my Sony 505 to the point it's probably an unhealthy obsession.

I read so much these days it's great. The only thing that is likely to change in the future is I'm sure I'll want some fancy new ebook device that doesn't exist yet (gimme significantly faster screen draw, much more robust library management, etc.)
Fun poll and thread.
