I think this new device will likely be really good for the kitchen and the study/office/desk. I currently use my Echo and my Fire HD 6 together in my study on my desk, but to be honest the Alexa app on the Fire HD 6 is so terrible that it is not that useful for displaying info about the song that is playing. The Alexa app is slow and it constantly boots itself back into the Home screen. POS if you ask me. So hopefully the new device will have a built in app that works much better with it. The app on my FireTV is great and I've never had any issues with it.
