I ended up reading Lock In by John Scalzi since none of my holds had come in yet. It was an interesting sci-fi take on a police (FBI) thriller. It looks like there is a sequel in the works but it won't be ready for a couple years.

Now I can start Interesting Times. Looking forward to it.
