I'll have to try that skill. One of my cats rarely meows but the other one never shuts up! Occasionally the chatty Kathy cat will perk up her ears when she hears a cat on the TV, but usually she ignores them. I think she can tell it isn't real.

The quiet cat gets upset though when she sees her on reflection in the mirror. She looks at herself, then looks at the other cat, then her fur stands up on end and her tail fluffs out as big around as a baseball bat. I can tell she thinks her reflection is another cat. The two barely tolerate each other, so she gets really upset at the thought of yet another cat to compete with.

ETA: I tried Meow! And meow cat but they both got no response at all. Meow! clearly sounded like a person trying to mimick a cat meow. Pretty bad! Meow cat was better but it only meows once.
