I'm thinking of upgrading to the Voyage, as the Oasis I have seen have a screen quality that is similar or equal to the latest PW. Even though the Voyage resolution is the same, for same reason the text looks richer (darker) against the screen. Am I the only one to notice this, or is this simply a case of the models I have seen.

I have not been able to to do a side by side comparison, so maybe my eyes are playing tricks. There was only one Voyage demo in one store and one Oasis in another.

But, before I make the investment of upgrading I would like to know if Kindle screens have a history of consistency. Was the more faded look of the fonts on the oasis I saw a fluke?

On the other hand, the Voyage is almost 2 years old model specs wise. These should be seriously coming down in price.
