I try to go to the after Christmas sale as close to opening as possible. That's how I've gotten really cheap gallon Ziplock bags for a couple of years now. They put the ones with Christmas designs on them on sale for 50% off! I also usually pick up a bunch of candy to keep around for Dad. They seem to have a better selection left after Christmas than after Halloween or Valentine's day.

I have bought almost nothing from Black Friday sales. Mom ordered a Roku 1 from Roku direct since it was on sale for half price, but that's it so far. I was given an old laptop to try to fix and need a cheap SSD. But since I'll be using this thing if it works, I don't want a crappy one. So I'll wait for a deal I can afford on a decent one.
