I got the LG Phoenix 2 and Alcatel Ideal.
My Mom tried going back to a flip phone as she felt she wasn't really using her smartphone. But the text is so tiny she can't see her address book. My dad had inherited her Samsung mini but it's a small phone and he's been having a hard time using it.
Neither of them really do much with apps etc. My dad just needs the PGA Tour one and he's set. So even though these phones aren't the lastest or greatest I think they'll be happy. They are both on my phone plan, so I should be able to take the phones into AT&T and get different SIM cards. They said I could add any AT&T Go Phone to my plan.
I also just ordered a bunch of DVDs which takes care of a few more people from my list. I feel very productive!
Amazon hadn't pricematched many of the DVDs on sale. Not sure if that's because they don't feel the need or just haven't gotten around to it. But with free shipping it was just as easy to order from Best Buy.
