The word here in Florida ever since I moved here is that "Florida doesn't have earthquakes." Well, one of about 4.3 on the Richter Scale occurred a few years ago.
Quite a few years ago, I live close enough to the New Madrid fault that I had some real concerns. Only place that I've ever lived in the deep South where I actually added earthquake insurance to my home policy.
