Many would argue that doing so has resulted in a much more efficient business, because they are competing against many other rivals, especially in the area of parcel deliveries. Why has the US reserved the postal service as a government monopoly? I would suggest that it's because it's considered that it's beneficial to the country as a whole to have it so.
