Not too bothered, though, to be blunt I was expecting a repair, and you really couldn't tell the refurbished one from a new one to be quite honest. The price of refurbished voyages in the UK is rediculous, mind. Its about £10 less than the new one on a £170 item.

This is entirely normal. If you get a replacement Kindle at any time after the initial purchase period, you'll almost certainly be sent a refurb. These devices are really not repairable.
