Hi Steve. It's not just a new laptop issue, its any session adding new books, at least it is for me.
I download CC on my iPad mini 4 on 19th November and added a large amount of TXT files (over 4500). I then went to connect it today (20th) and the error message "Device responded with incorrect info" was displayed and CC disconnected. This was on the same device, my Macbook.
Right now the only way I can add new books is to delete the app and start again each time. I can't say if its always been like this as I encountered the error first on version 1.02, and only added books once on 1.01. I've seen the error on both my Mac and our W10 laptop.
