Leonard Cohen has died.

Leonard Cohen died on November 7. He was 82.

While many may have thought of him only as a singer / songwriter he was also a poet and novelist. I first heard of him in the sixties when I read his "Beautiful Losers" as well as his first books of poetry, "Spice Box of the Earth", "Flowers for Hitler", "Parasites of Heaven", and "Let Us Compare Mythologies".

I've had all his records since the first and many (alas not all) of his poetry books.

His novels are available as ebooks but unfortunately not much of his poetry.

His death is a great but not unexpected loss.
