For running text, yes. I prefer Georgia, Deja Vu Serif, or Palatino.

For words and short phrases on a screen, I've preferred Verdana since I first found it in Windows NT in 1996. Pity that it can't be set in Windows 8.x and 10 anymore, except when using trickery in the registry. Now everything in Windows is in Segoe UI.
