Audiobooks Now looks to be a new (or returning) player in the audiobook market. I looked over their website but I couldn't see the details I was looking for. One positive thing I did see: they offer some free "premium" downloads (mostly some short stories from mainstream authors) if you are on their monthly plan. If I get more details I'll update this post.
Well, it appears that there is still going to be a magazine, but it will keep the name "AudioFile." I just got an email from them a few minutes ago.

You might want to go to their homepage and give it a look-see. It might be something that you might be interested in. Click on "Subscribe" on the menu near the top of the page and you'll get several choices. One is for their newsletter. There is also a link to subscribe to AudioFile.

All that I've been getting have been the newsletters. In fact, it was in a newsletter from them that I learned about AudiobooksNow (I'm beginning to wonder now if they are part of the same company or if the two just have a working relationship with each other).

Some of you probably eschew email newsletters. Personally, I sign up for just about any newsletter offer that I run across, related to ebooks, audiobooks, and other media. They are a great source of information about discounts, markdowns, and freebies. And, I don't know about you, but if companies want to tell me about something of value that they're giving away free, I am happy to listen to them.
