Being in the UK, you can do this. In the US, you can get a similar ($1) credit, but you can't really use it on ebooks, because it's only valid on ebooks sold by Amazon Digital Services, LLC, which means nothing from any major publishers (including the book you are talking about).

In the UK, though, that book is sold by Amazon (and not Penguin, like in the US).
