My Kobo Glo (4yo) suddenly decided to "Restore" this afternoon.
As it had been doing it for a while and I got afraid thinking it was stuck, so I tried to reset it by pushing the button below (as the button on the upper side to turn it off was broken from overuse).
And since that moment the screen is blank
I tried to connect it to my laptop and charge it but screen stays blank with the green light working as if it was resetting.
My theories are that 1) I made the wrong decision but trying to reset it or 2) it blocked when restoring (the screen worked but moments before it went into restoring).
So concretely I think I need (since I'm quite inexperienced) :
- a new image to rewrite on my SD card
- and if you know a post that explains methodically for beginners how to do that, would be great
(I'm looking for one at the same time
)
- Oh and is there a way I can, I don't know, ... Keep my books or retrieve them from the SD and after put them back once I get my kobo working again, that would be tremendous !
To say I'd be forever grateful is not exagerated, my Kobo doesn't leave my side ever and I am very attached to it.
