It could also be that the implementation of the sleep/wake-up function in the KA1 is implemented in a crap way. With the Forefront case, it's very hit and miss. Sometimes it sleeps 10 times in a row without issue (slowly closing the case, fitting the lid perfectly), sometimes it fails 4 times in a row and it has to be turned off using the button before being closed.
I can't believe that is the fault of the Forefront case to be honest, because otherwise, it's a perfect fit. (Literally, including the magnet block to keep the reader on when folded back.)
I'm going to return the Forefront case, try to return the Noreve, and when it arrives (it's already late, as it should have been here today), the Moko if it doesn't work either. If *that* happens, I'll throw the KA1 up for sale as well and you'll never see me buying a Kobo reader again in the next 5 years.
I just hoped they had fixed their issues after 5 years, but apparently they haven't. There are always new ones cropping up. The KA1 is a great piece of hardware with regard to reading, and I love it for that, but it seems to be ruined by so many issues with regard to convenience functions.
Fluttering backlight (brighter/dimmer), fluttering natural light (more orange/less orange), sometimes doesn't detect brighter/dimmer touch on the left, sleep/wake issues, ghost touches / page turns even with the original cover, it drains the battery faster than a Kindle when in sleep mode... it's just too many issues to stay satisfied. ONLY having the 7.8 inch screen isn't enough.
If I disable all of that, I can just as well use any other reader, even if they're only 6 inch. And my KPW1 goes to sleep instantly and reliably for four years already.
