TED Talks are supposed to be only 18 (maximum 20) minutes long. The curator says that's all the time that you need to get your point across and keep people's attention. Therefore, it stands to reason that the audio about how to give a TED Talk should only be 18 minutes long, too, or they violate their own rules. But, as you noted, the audio is 7 1/2 hours long.
But, I've got an idea that will save the day. Split up the audio into about 23 separate TED Talks!

You're right, I didn't get it. I knew nothing about TED talks. Now I know more than I ever wanted to know. This kind of self-help non-fiction stuff really eats at my brain and the only thing that will cure it is some good fiction.
