There isn't.
Tried to install it anyway.
Game over.
But not satisfied with that, continued to spend time just to ensure that the firmware installation was totally destroyed.

Solution:
Learn to follow directions, exactly, none of the 'that is what I was told (by the directions) to do, but I would rather have it like this.
?? Why isn't it working ??
Nobody here has time for that kind of sh..

IF what the poster is calling a "Kindle 3" is what we call a K3, then:
So step one, identify the Kindle model. Since everything here is indexed by model.
See:
https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kindle_Serial_Numbers

and then start over:

Once you have restore both of the Amazon systems that where installed on the device, then follow the link given in the post above.
I followed the instructions exactly as they were told. Debian instructions as well. Also, my kindle model is on my profile, and under my info on this post. Clearly identified as a B006. Thanks for the instructions though, and the kindle functions fine apart from not being able to uninstall.

EDIT: And sorry if I come off as arrogant, but you came off as arrogant to me. And the kindle works fine, but I'll do the debricking CD anyways. I'll be back if it works.
