Our conceptions of "health" and "preventive health" have become absolutely obsessively focused on diet/exercise/weight, as a society. There are a whole range of things that are health determinants, possibly one of the biggest one being your socioeconomic status. Beyond that, advice on preventive health just seems to be diet-exercise-diet-exercise! When in fact, there are so many other things you can do to promote your own health:

- sleep enough hours
- wear a seatbelt, don't drink 'n' drive (or text 'n' drive)
- care for your teeth
- don't smoke, and drink in moderation
- wash your hands
- keep your immunisations up to date
- seek happiness, belonging, and contribution
- be creative
