My pickle exactly, If they have abandoned their primary weapon to mount a challenge for Paperwhite 3, and went to downgrade, what is for me to do?

If I buy the Glo from ebay, will it have issues with software upgrade 3years later?

It would be silly for a company to just give up, they must be cooking something in the basement, and I'm afraid that if I buy now, few months from now they will surprise me with a Kobo GLO HD Freak, that will have slots and all sorts of goodies!
