I'm not insisting that my personal experience extrapolates to the universal; in fact, I'm explicitly saying the opposite. Moreover, while there's obviously disagreement about where perceived gradations occur, it's also obvious that they must happen.

Rather than disparaging my stated personal experience, you might want to support your repeated contention that most people have the same experience that you do. You keep saying it, but let's see some evidence. Without, it's just one more anecdotal report.
