A couple of weeks ago I broke my H2O screen so purchased KA1 to replace it.
Unfortunately it had a 'green splodge' and some other inconsistent lighting in the bottom third of the screen. In addition it had a bright dot like a broken pixel on an LCD screen.
The splodge wasn't as bad as some that have been posted here but it was noticeable. I took it back and decided not to replace it; from reading the comments here I don't have any faith in Kobo's QC on this device and I don't want to have to battle to return devices until I get a decent one.
Maybe I'll return to it some time in the future when they've ironed out the problems with the lighting and firmware. Fortunately the replacement screen has arrived for my H2O so it should be back up and running this weekend. I'm quite proficient at replacing e-reader screens, this is now the third
