I just get a little lost sometime. I'll selectively quote, since this is what I heard/read...
You started with:
Quote:

... Amazon keeps making more expensive ones and that's what most people buy so their competition has to cut costs.
|
So I replied with (since what you said seemed a little counter intuitive, to me), hoping for a clarification:
Quote:

Is this your opinion (most people are buying the more expensive (voyage and Oasis) kindles), or do you have some data/links that show this?
|
And your reply was:
Quote:
|
... It's more like my guess than my opinion. ...
|
And than you appear (to me) to take a 180 and say:
Quote:
|
I'm sure the Paperwhite outsells the Voyage and the Oasis ...
|
Which make sense to me.
Finally:
Quote:
|
I suspect both the high end Kindles are selling ..., and very likely those who buy more expensive models buy more books
|
I believe this is probably true, but I would find it very interesting to see some actual numbers (from Amazon, not a bunch of posts from users on MR

).
EDIT: The number I think would be interesting would be ebook purchase numbers by device.
