Was told they might replace it on the phone before I had taken it in but when ended up there they had reset it and that's it. Claimed it works fine and no light issues but they had tested in lit room and full brightness ie white light not the natural light max. So after discussing they said take it and test it and see if issue persists and not to worry since it's Kobo covered anywhere regardless. They didn't seem keen on testing themselves after being made aware of the settings and testing in lit show room didn't have the same effect.

Was strange that in dark room low brightness and high natural light showed the orange screen but in store needed full brightness. Not sure if reset had this effect or the ambient setting but turning the auto off still didn't do it.
