@Doitsu...As I've already mentioned on your thread, I didn't rename the plugin zip file. I never rename plugin files before I install them.

And as I've already said on your thread, my old Epubcheck version(0.3.7) was inherited by Sigil 0.9.7 when I installed it and worked fine. Then I uninstalled my old 0.3.7 version of Epubcheck before I installed the new version which failed to install. Then, when I tried to reinstall the older version of Epubcheck, that also failed with exactly the same error. That would therefore seem to point to a problem with the new Sigil version(which does contain new changes to the plugin interface).

I'm using Sigil on Windows 8.
