It has been known to happen all too often.
If you can live with it, I would wait and see if Amazon rolls out a *.0.2 to fix the fix.

Oh well. As it happens I've just been reading why businesses shouldn't perfect things before releasing them, but it's a question I see from both sides!
I can live with it for now, it's far less bad that I have been living with for months and it isn't constant - it frees up and runs beautifully every so often but I can't work out what that correlates with. As long as they don't wait TOO long to fix the fix and as long as the fix fix doesn't unfix anything else
But thank you AGAIN - you have been very generous with your problem-solving time and I know more now than I was asking to begin with, which is always great.
