Today's
freebie from YourClassical comes from Ireland RTE National Symphony Orchestra, with Jean-Luc Tingaud as conductor.
It is a Paul Dukas piece, from the Naxos album
Dukas - Symphony in C: The Sorcerer's Apprentice, La peri. We are offered the 10 minute, 50 second piece,
The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
There is a dedicated webpage for the Naxos album
here. Once you've got all of the information that you need that you have decided to download the
free piece, head over to
this webpage, locate the link that says, "Direct MP3 download link," and click on it. That will download the file for the
free piece directly to your hard drive (or whatever your default drive is).
I don't recall ever hearing a Paul Dukas work before, but this is a nice piece. It is one of the high-low pieces (high volume, then low volume, then high volume . . . .), however, that I find it hard to just sit and enjoy listening to while doing something else. YMMV.
It is nice to start a new 5-day string of free classical pieces from YourClassical!
