Probably like the crapware included on a new PC: publishers paying Sony to include them. Sony no more endorses these books or their authors than HP recommends AOL, Snapfish, and Vonage.
Congrats! They are always changing the excerpts, so it's not a suprise you didn't get it. I didn't either (but this was a year ago).
