Let's try to be helpful. On Onyx Boox Max you should find the folder "dictionary". You don't have to install the dictionaries on your SD card. I did install them in the internal memory. I f you want to, then create an empty "dictionary" folder first.

One important thing. There are many problems when working with the e-reader via Apple OS. The device is optimised for Windows. This might have caused you difficulties by installation.

Now, first extract your zip files on to your Windows PC/Laptop. Only after this copy the extracted entire dictionary folder in the "dictionary" folder of your Boox MAX.

Then open the the "Dictionary tool" app on your reading device and select the dictionary of choice (in Dictionary selection).

It is possible that now the app is compromised. If the procedure does not work, reset the e-reader and reinstall the latest update. Before that save on your pc or SD card any personal documents being on your Boox Max. Hope it works. Just in case this is not functioning, try to contact the German vendor, who is also a software engineer. The last possibility is that your dictionary is corrupted. I have installed long ago several dictionaries on the e-reader and they all work fine.
