That does not look like a very secure connection. It actually looks rather rickety. I'm guessing the connector won't hold up to too much moving, especially if someone tries to pick up the Dot and battery but just grabs hold of the Dot. Unless there is a magnetic connection too, I didn't read the article just looked at the photos, I don't see that working in a situation wherein the Dot is being moved around a lot.

ETA: It does have a magnetic plate included, but it seems to be a a disk rather than being built into the top of the battery unit. Strange design. I still think it is a kluge solution.

Let's hope this battery isn't designed by Samdung, Tesla, or Boeing!
