I think EOMA68 is rather exciting. I can see it being used for digital radios and digital TVs so this equipment could easily be upgraded for new codecs. Video consoles, tablets, smartphones, ereaders and so on would also profit, now that the surrounding technology is basically good enough. Actually I can think of no consumer device where it wouldn't be useful. But of course it needs to gain more traction first.
