My God! Finally. FINALLY! Thanks ever so much, Doitsu, this was what did the trick in the end - restarting the KF8 & KFX readers, rather than the framework, I mean. Whenever I select Caecilia Condensed now, I get ChareInk, just as I wanted.

So, I guess we can say that the font hack is working on a KV running 5.8.5 firmware, albeit by selecting slightly different options in KUAL during the process.

Really, Doitsu, your help has been much appreciated - I think I'd've long since given up, otherwise
