Hello davidfor,

I've found that my box has two labels, the product number label has been stuck directly over the serial number label. I've been able to unpeel the top label sufficiently to be able to read the serial number beneath. I had already written the image that you provided to a new 16 GB card and found that this starts up and has allowed me to load and run xcsoar (a glide computer) so I may not have to modify the serial number on the card. I haven't tried to use the kobo as a reader yet, it may be that that would cause the serial number to be checked and require that I update it.
