The USA is now on life+70 for works first published after 2002. For works published before that it's complicated, but nothing falls into the public domain until 1st January 2019, when works first published in 1923 all fall into the public domain. Each year after that will see another year of publications enter the public domain until 1st January 2073, when all works published in 1977 will fall into the public domain. In addition, on 1st January 2048, works first published between 1978 and 2002 inclusive whose author died before 1978 will all fall into the public domain.

From 2074 onwards, the USA will finally be on a simple life+70 copyright length.
