Thats what it all boils down to folks, a sense of comfort derived from belief in whatever "higher power" you choose to believe in.

With the greatest respect, though, the fact that it comforts you to believe that a "higher power" is looking after you does not make it true.
Did God create man, or did man create God? Personally, I am convinced that it's the latter.
