I had the exact same problem.

The old 3M app updated itself while I was browsing. After troubleshooting with my library I finally figured out it's a problem with the Adobe ID. Using the Cloud Library desktop app I clicked on my login name in the top right corner. From there I signed out. When I signed back in I selected the wrong library on purpose which gave me an “invalid login credentials error”. I then selected the correct library and when I signed in it prompted me to authorize my computer for Adobe & requested my username and password. That allowed me to start downloading again like normal.
