Why would you? Only three of us went for the expensive Noreve cover.

One of the reasons I did was that I was fully prepared to pay 50€ for the Kobo cover if it had been genuine leather (and if my other Kobo cover had held up better). So this expense was already in my KA1 budget.

The other is, I plan to keep this reader for a while. I used my Aura6" for 2.5 years and I guess I will at least get this mileage out of the One. As I read for pleasure, I like to have a cover that is pleasing to my tactile sense, too, so I always have leather covers. Sadly the one I bought for the Aura6" was extremely stiff and not padded so in the end, I could have sticked to the PU cover, but it came only 20€ so this should have been a hint for me. Hence the higher budget for a cover this time.

Now, when I think back at spending a hundred on an Oberon cover, now THAT was splurging
