Never have myself or thought I needed to .... though I note they list much shorter duration times on them these days ... which means you will need to keep replenishing your Nuclear Shelter stocks on a regular basis ... no more set and forget, with a can of Baked Beans still being edible in 50 years.
I also live in such a place, though seemingly more wind these days, and the Sun can't make up its mind when to appear anymore .... Seasons are all muddled up. Supposedly we are in the midst of spring, but you could have fooled me ... half the time it's been like Winter. The weeds love all the variant conditions though.

I guess you could freeze canned (tinned) goods if you are willing to repackage them.
On the weather, we are in Autumn but most of the time it is like summer. Yesterday, I finally had to get out my jacket. Tomorrow, I will need shorts again.
Oh and weeds love all weather especially if they get even a drop of moisture.
