Today (14th of October 2016) things seem to be working again regarding "report content error."
In the psychology world we use the term "overdetermined", meaning that the results that we see can't really be pinned down to one event. In a sense you could use the concept of a constellation of factors in action. We see a certain result, but there were a number of factors working in tandem, none of which we could see as the sole cause.
What I did was to make a copy of the documents folder of my KV, then I did a factory reset. After re-entering all my login details, I connect the KV to the computer and copied back over the documents directory.
So after much ... "fiddling" I got my collections organised to my liking, etc.
Then I made a "report content error" or "signaler une erreur de contenu" on the kindle, and eventually the reported content error turned up on kindle.amazon.com.
In that time, I contact Amazon support on amazon.fr (where I hold my account), and they tried to ring me, but the phone number didn't work (cause it's dodgy) and I live in Australia.
Anyway, they said to call them.
Before I did that, I checked on kindle.amazon.com, and the latest content error was sitting there in all it's glory.
By way of additional information, after the factory reset, I upgraded from firmware (micrologiciel) version 5.8.1 to 5.8.2.1.
At the end, what was the cause. I don't really know. In all likelihood it was the factory reset (maybe).
It's overdetermined (multidéterminé).
It could even be that there was an dysfonctionnement at the amazon server level. Who knows ?
