When my library had 3M they set the checkout length and there was no way to change it. Not sure if that is still the case.
Can you return the book(s) "early"?
For languages, try under "filters" or "settings" on the main menu. I would think if you're able to change the number of days for the checkout it would also be under settings. But then again the 3M program isn't the most logical or user friendly one in the world
