This is not one of Kingston's naval stories, but it describes the adventures and daily life of early settlers of America. Fights with bears, wolves and natives are usual for a family of Brits.
This tale is quite PI, as "savages" are shot on sight and animals killed randomly. Please refrain from reading this book if such things affect you.
