This has been such a pitiful experience in my eyes. I basically have to charge my device once per day as it mysteriously loses the majority of the battery at some point. Sync is disabled via the config file and WiFi is off but this has done nothing for my experience. I'm not going to go through the possible work-a-round of configuring myself w/o WiFi in hopes that it alleviates this.
What about all the non-MobileRead users / modifiers. What are they doing?
My original ticket from Kobo provided a RMA which they then pulled stating that they'd release a firmware update on the 26th. I emailed them on the 27th asking where the patch was and they responded that it would be delayed until the 3rd. Ok, I'll wait.
On the 7th I sent an email asking as to the status of the patch and said that if it wasn't imminent that I wanted to proceed with my RMA.
Their response? They marked the ticket as solved and closed it.
I really want to love this device but it's basically unusable unless I plan to read with the charger connected as it's always dead when I want to use it.
Kobo's support has been lackluster at best.
