Funny. I never had that problem with my Nook ST. I guess the act of making it a touch-sensitive 'button' rather than a raised piece of plastic leads to the problem you describe. If they felt the need to keep that button, maybe they would have been better off moving it to the top of the screen. It may not look as nice, but would lead to far less user frustration.
