That is good news.
We are not completely locked out then, just need to avoid that firmware version.

I will leave the warning in the top post until the ability to still downgrade is confirmed on all models.

If Kindle devices start shipping with 5.8.2.1 pre-installed, we will actually have do something about this change made by Amazon.
