Definately not although I can see how one might think that is what is happening. It turns out rebooting the unit makes it go away. I will wait to see if it happens again. Still a bug though. The steps to reproduce are slide the brightness to something low like 1 or 2%. Auto brightness does not matter. You don't even need to touch the screen other than leaving the "window" that you adjust brightness in. It also happes when sliding to adjust if you get it in the very low brightness range. It will turn off after a few seconds. Since I power cycled it hasn't re-ocurred.
