Even with the 10% off the books I buy are dearer at Kobo than Amazon. I bought Bitter Legacy by Dal Maclean yesterday. It's £5.40 on Amazon and £6.40 before the 10% discount on Kobo. With the discount it was £5.76. I had a comeback 25% discount code. That's the only reason I got it from Kobo.

Another one I want is Model Boyfreind by Lissa Kasey, again £6.40 on Kobo pre discount, £5.27 on Amazon.

Both these books cost $6.99 dollars plus tax so the only reason Kobo costs more must be that on Amazon the publishers absorb the tax but on Kobo they add it on. I can't understand what else it us. If the author self publishes only then are the prices almost the same.
