Wikipedia) is the 2nd novel in his Dreamland Chronicles series of science fantasy virtual reality adventures apparently combining high tech with a medieval setting in an immersive computer-generated gaming environment, this installment apparently involving the encroachment of some of the environment's corrupted AIs upon reality as they attempt to wreak havoc in the real world, free courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Venture imprint, who are e-printing it from its 1992 edition originally out from Warner's Questar imprint under the variant name Wm. Mark Simmons.
According to one of the customer reviews, this volume has been slightly revised from the original and is a 25th anniversary edition with a special foreword by the author himself, who incidentally has been recently recommended over in the What Are You Reading thread by fellow MR member HarryT for his other urban fantasy series out from Baen. I have to admit, I rather like the name of
his official website.
